Presentation Abstract:
Chronic inflammation forms the basis for numerous chronic diseases—and even cancer. Its relationship with infertility is also gaining increasing attention. Common infertility factors such as endometriosis, PCOS, and recurrent implantation failure may all be linked to chronic inflammation. Research even suggests that an anti-inflammatory diet can positively impact IVF success rates.
This lecture will discuss:
- The relationship between chronic inflammation and the TCM patterns of phlegm, heat, cold, and blood stasis (痰热寒瘀阻)It will also explore how TCM herbal medicine and acupuncture therapies, when targeted at these patterns, can have a positive effect on improving chronic inflammation.
- The critical importance of addressing both the root and the manifestationSuccessful infertility treatment depends on precisely and systematically treating the root (kidney deficiency) and the manifestation (phlegm, heat, cold, and blood stasis).
- The role of lifestyle medicine in enhancing fertilityIncorporating lifestyle medicine with an anti-inflammatory approach can significantly boost fertility outcomes.
